Actowiz found that 44% of analysed SKUs across all 6 platforms showed MRP declarations more than 20% above the NPPA ceiling price or Jan Aushadhi reference price. This is not rounding — it is a deliberate pricing architecture designed to manufacture the appearance of discounts.
  • 2. The '20% off' discount — Analysing Discount Authenticity Patterns across platforms. Every platform advertises flat 20%+ discounts on medicines. Our data shows that in 61% of cases, the pre-discount price (the 'MRP' shown) is itself inflated by 25–40% above the true market reference price. The 'discount' brings consumers back to — or above — fair market price.
