Every pack size is captured separately, then normalised so a 84-count box and a 132-count box become comparable.

Club-format retailers drove five of six decreases through larger pack sizes, not deeper discounts.
Built for a category where pack size, safety and subscriptions decide the sale
We match recall notices from CPSC, the UK OPSS, BIS India and ESMA UAE against live listings every day. Three recalled items in this view are still purchasable eleven days after the notice was issued.
Four retailers cut unit price 9–18% in eleven days, led by a club pack repositioning at Costco. Everyone else matched on shelf price without changing pack size, so their real unit price barely moved.
Three-way war running nine days, but only on subscription tiers. One-off prices are unchanged, which means a daily price scrape shows nothing at all.
Steady 6–9% gap that has held for six weeks. Not a war, just a structural position. No action needed.

How a baby brand found the price rise nobody had noticed
The brand tracked competitor shelf prices weekly and believed the category was stable. Actowiz normalised every pack size across six retailers and three markets and found the opposite: two rivals had cut fill weight while holding shelf price, quietly taking 12% more per 100ml. At the same time, 62% of the brand's own diaper SKUs had no Subscribe & Save tier while a competitor ran 20% on 84 SKUs, and three recalled feeding items were still purchasable eleven days after the notice. Repricing against real unit economics rather than shelf price added 3.4 points of margin in two quarters.
The most detailed unit-economics study in the baby category — covering diapers, formula, baby care and nursery gear across 24 retailers in the US, UK, India and UAE. Built from 8 months of Actowiz normalised price tracking.
Everything brand and pricing teams ask before going live with Actowiz
Because pack sizes vary enormously and change often. A 84-count diaper box and a 132-count club pack are not comparable on shelf price, and a formula tin dropping from 900g to 800g is a 12.5% price rise that no shelf-price tracker will show. We capture pack size, count and fill weight for every listing and normalise to price per diaper, per 100ml prepared, or per gram.
In the US: Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco, Instacart and Kroger. UK: Amazon, Tesco, Boots, Asda and Ocado. India: Amazon.in, FirstCry, Flipkart, BigBasket and Blinkit. UAE: Amazon.ae, Noon, Mumzworld and Carrefour. Twenty-four in total, and others can be added in about a week.
Yes, as a separate price alongside the one-off price. In a repeat-purchase category this is often where the real competitive action happens — we regularly see price wars running entirely on subscription tiers while shelf prices stay flat, which a standard daily scrape reports as nothing happening.
We match published recall notices from CPSC in the US, OPSS in the UK, BIS in India and ESMA in the UAE against live listings every day, including third-party marketplace sellers. You get an alert with the listing URL and seller the same day a match appears. We also flag age-grading errors and banned marketing claims on baby products.
Yes. For quick commerce and grocery retailers we track availability at pin-code or store level, which matters because a nappy that is in stock nationally can be unavailable in the postcodes where your customers actually live. Evening availability is reported separately from daily averages.
Both. You get the live dashboard, a REST API for your warehouse, daily CSV or Parquet exports to S3 or GCS, and Slack or email alerts for pack size changes, stock-outs, subscription tier moves and recall matches. Normalised unit prices are included in every export, not just pack prices.
Send us 100 SKUs and the retailers you care about. We will normalise every pack size and send back a working sample dashboard with real unit prices — free, no commitment.
