ASOS US Catalogue, Markdown & Size-Availability Dataset
ASOS's US site captured at variant level — 32 columns covering list price, final price, the discount in dollars, stock flag, brand, colour, size, full size charts, barcodes, ratings and image URLs.
ASOS is a markdown machine, and the file shows it: 13 of 50 sampled rows were discounted, one tailored trouser cut from $54.99 to $30.24 — a 45% reduction — while 16 of 50 size rows were already out of stock.
The file already exists, because this pipeline runs once a month whether you buy it or not. Most vendors start collecting after you order — which is why they quote a lead time. Here the most recent file is in your account within minutes of payment, with an API key issued at the same time.
What you get, in plain terms
Four things. Fast fashion, many brands, constant markdowns — captured where all three are visible.
One row per size and colour
The file is at variant level, not product level: every size and colourway of a style is its own row with its own SKU and stock flag, so you can see exactly which sizes are still buyable.
List price and final price side by side
Price is the list price, Final Price what a shopper pays and Discount the saving in dollars, so markdown depth is a subtraction, not a guess.
Size charts as structured data
Size Chart carries ASOS's body and garment measurement tables as JSON on 48 of 50 sampled rows — the numbers behind “US 4”, ready to map to your own grading.
However you want it
Direct download, REST API, Amazon S3, Google Cloud, Snowflake or SFTP. The API key comes with the dataset.
Fields included in this dataset
All 32 columns, in the exact order they appear in the file — taken straight from the sample, not from a brochure. The free sample ships with a data dictionary giving an example value for each one.
Sample rows from the real file
Real rows from the sample file, not an illustration. The supplied sample has 50 variant rows with all 32 columns.
Coverage
Captured monthly across asos.com's US site. One row is one size-colour variant, identified by its SKU, with the style in PID.
| Metric | In the supplied sample | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Variant rows | 50 across 23 styles | Dresses 19 · Tops 8 · Shorts 6 |
| Brands | ASOS DESIGN 14 · YAS 12 · & Other Stories 6 | Own label and third-party |
| Discounted rows | 13 of 50 | Deepest: $54.99 → $30.24 (45%) |
| Out of stock | 16 of 50 size rows | Size runs breaking on a third of rows |
| Size charts | 48 of 50 | Body and garment measurements as JSON |
| Barcodes | 25 of 50 | UPC or EAN where ASOS shows it |

Historical data
The last 30 days come with the dataset. Beyond that we hold ASOS records from February 2025 onwards.

We can extend this dataset beyond the standard 32 columns — a corrected sale flag and markdown history per SKU are the most requested additions.

About ASOS catalogue data
ASOS sells its own labels — ASOS DESIGN, ASOS LUXE — alongside hundreds of third-party brands, and it moves fast: styles arrive, get marked down and sell out within weeks. Catching that requires variant-level data with both prices on the row.
Markdowns you can measure
13 of 50 sampled rows carried a discount, from $3 off a bikini bottom to $24.75 off a pair of tailored trousers. Discount gives the saving in dollars, so depth is a subtraction rather than an inference — and tracked monthly, it shows which brands get cut first.
Size charts included
48 of 50 rows carry ASOS's size charts as structured JSON — body and garment measurements. For a brand selling into ASOS, that is the grading standard your samples are judged against, in the same file as the price.
Two things to plan for
IsOnSale reads “No” on 49 of 50 rows, including every discounted one, so ignore it and compare Price with Final Price. Ratings appear on 17 of 50 rows and review text on 7; Keywords and Manufacturer are empty throughout.
