Bonobos Catalogue, Fit-Level Stock & Markdown Dataset
Bonobos built its business on fit, and this file captures that — 31 columns where every row is a size, length and fit combination: “36s-slim-Full-Suit-Blazer” with its own SKU, price, discount and stock flag.
Tailoring is also where markdowns are deepest. In the supplied sample an Empire Super 150s blazer was cut from $1,200 to $598 and a Jetsetter Italian cotton blazer from $650 to $258 — a $392 saving recorded in dollars.
The file already exists, because this pipeline runs once a month whether you buy it or not. Most vendors start collecting after you order — which is why they quote a lead time. Here the most recent file is in your account within minutes of payment, with an API key issued at the same time.
What you get, in plain terms
Four things. Menswear tailoring, where size, length and fit are three separate dimensions.
Size, length and fit in one key
Size encodes the lot — “36r-athletic-Full-Suit-Blazer” — so short, regular and long in slim, standard and athletic fits are all separate, trackable rows.
List price and final price side by side
Price is the list price, Final Price what a shopper pays and Discount the saving in dollars, so markdown depth is a subtraction, not a guess.
Fabric and construction detail
Short Description and Description carry the mill, the canvassing, the lapel and the button count — the detail menswear buyers compare on.

Fields included in this dataset
All 31 columns, in the exact order they appear in the file — taken straight from the sample, not from a brochure. The free sample ships with a data dictionary giving an example value for each one.
Sample rows from the real file
Real rows from the sample file, not an illustration. The supplied sample has 50 variant rows with all 31 columns.
Coverage
Captured monthly across bonobos.com. One row is one size-length-fit variant, identified by its SKU, with the style in PID.
| Metric | In the supplied sample | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Variant rows | 50, all unique SKUs | Across 4 tailoring styles |
| Fits | Slim · Standard · Athletic | Each in short and regular lengths |
| Discounted rows | 26 of 50 | More than half the sample marked down |
| Deepest markdown | $1,200 → $598 | Recorded as a $602 saving |
| In stock | 50 of 50 | Every sampled variant buyable |

We can extend this dataset beyond the standard 31 columns — size, length and fit split into three columns is the most requested change, along with a populated category path.

About Bonobos catalogue data
Bonobos sells menswear online with an unusually wide fit range — slim, standard and athletic, in short, regular and long — which is exactly what makes its catalogue awkward to track and valuable to have structured.
Markdowns run deep in tailoring
26 of 50 sampled rows were discounted. An Empire Super 150s blazer sat at $598 against a $1,200 list price; a Jetsetter Italian cotton blazer at $258 against $650. Discount records the saving in dollars — $602 and $392 — so depth is exact.
Fit as a dimension
Because Size encodes size, length, fit and component in one string, a single blazer occupies dozens of rows. Split it on the hyphen and you can ask which fits sell through first, and which lengths a competitor under-stocks.
Two things to plan for
Category and Gender came through empty on every sampled row, and IsOnSale reads “No” on 12 rows that were in fact discounted — compare Price with Final Price instead. Suit components arrive as bundle rows, so a blazer and its trousers can share a style.
