Zepto India Twice a Week Keyword Rank & Category Visibility Dataset
A twice-weekly keyword file built around generic category terms — the searches where category share is actually decided — with rank, organic versus sponsored placement, brand visibility and price across 33 columns.
The supplied sample follows one generic term and the ad density is striking: 26 of 50 placements were sponsored and 24 different brands competed on it. On a generic term, more than half the page is bought.
The file already exists, because this pipeline runs twice a week whether you buy it or not. Most vendors start collecting after you order — which is why they quote a lead time. Here the most recent file is in your account within minutes of payment, with an API key issued at the same time.
What you get, in plain terms
Four things. This is a search visibility dataset rather than a product extract — if you want Zepto store pricing, take the twice-a-day file instead.
Rank on the keyword, not just the product
One row per keyword, per pin-code, per position. search_rank tells you where a product actually appeared to a shopper typing that term.
Organic separated from sponsored
type marks each placement Organic or Inorganic. On the generic term in the supplied sample, 26 of 50 placements — over half — were paid.
Every competing brand counted
Twenty-four distinct brands appeared on one generic keyword. brand and Brand visibility let you measure share without matching names by string.
However you want it
Direct download, REST API, Amazon S3, Google Cloud, Snowflake or SFTP. The API key comes with the dataset.
Fields included in this dataset
All 33 columns, in the exact order they appear in the file — taken straight from the sample, not from a brochure. The free sample ships with a data dictionary giving an example value for each one.
Sample rows from the real file
Real rows from the sample file, not an illustration. The free sample is 50 keyword-by-pin-code rows with all 33 columns.
Coverage
Captured Monday and Thursday across the keywords and pin-codes on your feed. The supplied sample follows one generic term across 2 pin-codes in depth.
| Placement type | Rows in sample | Share | Distinct brands seen | Ranks covered |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sponsored | 26 | 52% | 14 | 1 – 23 |
| Organic | 24 | 48% | 16 | 1 – 24 |
| All placements | 50 | 100% | 24 | 1 – 24 |
One keyword across two pin-codes is what the sample shows, not what the feed is limited to. Keyword count multiplied by pin-code count is what drives the price — most clients run a few hundred generic terms.
Historical data
The last 30 days come with the dataset. Beyond that we hold Zepto keyword records from February 2025 onwards for the keywords on this feed — enough to show how sponsored share moved through a festive quarter.

We can extend this dataset beyond the standard 33 columns — share of voice calculated per keyword is the most requested addition, along with banner and category placements, competitor brand mapping and a wider keyword set.

About Zepto category search data
Zepto's search page carries both organic and sponsored listings. On brand terms the competition is a handful of rivals; on generic category terms it is the whole category, and the paid share is far higher.
Why generic terms behave differently from brand terms
A shopper typing a brand name already knows what they want. A shopper typing a category term does not, which makes those searches the real battleground — and prices them accordingly. In the supplied sample a single generic term drew 24 competing brands and 26 of 50 placements were paid, against roughly a third on the brand term in our daily file.
Why twice a week is usually enough here
Organic rank on generic terms moves on a weekly rhythm, not an hourly one. Two captures a week is enough to see a competitor enter or a position slip, without paying for readings that mostly repeat. If you are running daily paid media on these terms, take the daily file instead.
What the empty columns mean
city and Tier came through empty across the whole supplied sample. City is still available inside location, which carries a full address string, but if you need it as its own column say so and we will populate it.
Is collecting this data legal?
Collecting publicly visible product and price information is generally lawful in most jurisdictions. Actowiz collects only public pages, respects robots.txt and platform terms, holds no personal data, and aligns with GDPR and CCPA. We are ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified, and this dataset carries documented provenance so your legal team can review the source before you buy.
