Darty Data Scraping

A refund promise and a score out of ten both sit beside the price. Neither is the price, and neither is Darty's measurement.

Darty data scraping covers product, price and product-information data from the French appliance and electronics retailer in the Fnac Darty group. Two things sit beside the price. Darty's Contrat de confiance promises to refund a price difference — a promise, recorded as terms, never as a price. And French law requires a durability or repairability index on many products — a score the manufacturer calculates, which Darty displays and we record as displayed.

Darty is where appliance buyers in France compare washing machines. What they compare is increasingly a score, not only a price.

Free pilot on your own Darty list, returned in 24 hours. No card, no trial clock — and you keep the sample data either way.

Platform specifics

Beside the price, not part of it

These are the reasons a Darty dataset needs its own handling rather than a shared retail schema.

The indices are manufacturer scores

France's repairability index scored products out of ten for how repairable they are. For televisions from January 2025 and washing machines from April 2025, it was replaced by a durability index that also covers reliability. Other categories still carry the repairability index.

  • The manufacturer calculates the score. The retailer displays it.
  • index_type — durability or repairability — is recorded, because the two are not the same scale.
  • Scores are never compared across index types, and a TV's 2024 repairability score is not a 2025 durability score.
  • We do not check or recalculate a score. It is recorded as displayed, with score_source: manufacturer.

The promise, the subscription, and what we do not do

Contrat de confiance

Darty promises to refund the difference if a customer finds the same product cheaper, under conditions in its terms of sale. That is a promise about what might happen after purchase. It is recorded as terms, with a date, and never changes a price.

Darty Max

A paid repair and maintenance subscription. It is a service with its own price, recorded beside products, not in them.

Darty and Fnac

Same group; different retailer and range. See our Fnac page.

What we do not do

Treat a refund promise as a price, check or recalculate a manufacturer's index, or compare scores across index types.

Scope

What we collect on Darty, and what we do not

The right column matters more than the left. Anyone can list fields; the limits are what tell you whether the dataset will hold up.

✅ What we collect

  • index_type and index_score as displayed
  • score_source recorded as manufacturer
  • Durability and repairability never compared
  • Contrat de confiance recorded as dated terms
  • Darty Max recorded as a service, with its own price
  • éco-participation as its own field
  • Model numbers and EANs as published
  • Energy labels as displayed
  • Fnac scoped separately if wanted

❌ What we do not, and why

  • A refund promise treated as a price
  • A manufacturer's index checked or recalculated by us
  • Durability scores compared with repairability scores
  • Service subscriptions folded into product prices
  • Account or customer data

How we engage

Three ways to engage us

Same collection pipeline and QA underneath. The difference is who holds the schedule and how the data reaches you.

Managed service (most common)

We own the collection, the QA and the delivery. You receive clean data on a schedule and never touch a scraper.

  • Dedicated engineer assigned to your account
  • Site changes fixed by us, not reported to you
  • Scheduled delivery to your warehouse or S3
  • Named contact on Slack or email

Best fit: Teams who need the data, not the infrastructure.

API access

The same collection pipeline exposed as an authenticated REST endpoint your systems query directly.

  • On-demand and scheduled endpoints
  • Rate limits agreed to your load profile
  • Sandbox keys for integration testing
  • Versioned schema with deprecation notice

Best fit: Product and engineering teams building on live data.

One-time or project extraction

A defined pull for a specific question — market sizing, diligence, a pitch, a one-off audit.

  • Fixed scope agreed in writing upfront
  • Single delivery with full QA report
  • Methodology documented for your records
  • Converts to managed if you want continuity

Best fit: Research, strategy and diligence work with a deadline.

Pricing

Every engagement is quoted individually, because the honest answer depends on your scope: how many sources, how many records, how often, and how the data reaches you. We scope it with you, run a free pilot on your own sources, and then quote a fixed monthly figure — no per-request metering and no overage billing when volumes move. Request a quote and you will have a number after one call.

Darty is usually collected alongside its competitors

Almost nobody buys a single platform in isolation. Darty data becomes useful when it sits next to the competitor set on one schema, refreshed on one schedule, so a price index or availability comparison is genuinely like-for-like.

That is what consumer electronics data covers, and a Darty-only engagement can be expanded into it without rebuilding. If you already know you need several platforms, start there instead — it is the same pipeline and usually the better scoping conversation.
