How Actowiz Solutions replaced manual rate-shopping with a daily hotel rate parity monitoring feed that flags every OTA undercutting the brand's direct rate.
A multi-property hotel group needing a daily view of whether OTAs were selling its rooms below its own direct rate.
Actowiz Solutions built a hotel rate parity monitoring pipeline for a multi-property hotel group. Every day it captures room rates and availability by property, room type and future date across several OTAs and the brand's direct site, compares each OTA price with the direct rate, and delivers a prioritised list of parity breaches each morning.
The client runs several properties and sells rooms through a number of OTAs as well as its own website. Rate parity is central to protecting its direct-booking margin: when an OTA shows a lower price than the brand site, guests book there and the hotel pays commission.
On some dates, OTAs were undercutting the direct rate. The revenue team only found out through occasional manual spot-checks, which covered a few dates and channels and could not keep up as the portfolio grew. They needed OTA price monitoring that was complete and daily.
Actowiz set up a managed, ongoing rate-and-parity pipeline that runs daily.

“We were finding parity breaches by hand, a few dates at a time. Now every morning we get a prioritised list of every OTA undercutting our direct rate across a 30-day window — we act the same day.”
— Revenue Manager, Hotel Group
A: It is the regular checking of room rates across OTAs and the hotel's own website to spot any channel selling the same room, for the same date, below the direct rate. Actowiz automates these checks and sends a daily list of breaches.
A: In this project rates were checked for a 30-day forward window per property and room type. The window and channels can be adjusted.
A: Actowiz collects publicly displayed rates from major OTAs such as Booking.com, Expedia and Agoda, plus your direct site.
A: Actowiz collects only public prices and availability, without logging in and without personal data, and follows site terms. Parity rules also vary by region. This is not legal advice.
