The client needed to populate an Excel file with names and addresses of Italian public-facing pet-service businesses, extracted from Italian-language websites. They could provide several source URLs, and required the final data organised into a spreadsheet with dedicated columns — name, address, city, and more — running to thousands of records.

Crucially, the directory had to be split by category — kennels, veterinarians, dog beaches, dog-friendly hotels and restaurants, and similar — so the client could work with each segment independently. Actowiz delivered the data mapped directly into the client's own Excel template.

The Challenge

Italian-language sources. All content was in Italian, so extraction and field parsing had to correctly handle Italian addresses, naming conventions, and accented characters.
Multiple, varied sources. Several client-provided websites, each with its own structure, had to feed one consistent output schema.
Category segmentation. Records had to be classified into the correct pet-service category (kennels, vets, dog beaches, dog-friendly venues) for a usable directory.
Clean, columnar structure. Name, address, city and other attributes had to be split cleanly into their own columns, matching the client's Excel template exactly.
Scale with accuracy. Thousands of records had to be captured without duplication or malformed address fields.
