How Actowiz built de-duplicated, chain-flagged UK restaurant listings data from three delivery apps so a hospitality POS provider could size its market.
A client needing a clean map of UK hospitality businesses listed on the main food delivery apps.
Actowiz Solutions built UK restaurant listings data for a UK hospitality POS provider. We collected public venue listings from Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo using a postcode grid, merged duplicates across the three apps, flagged chains versus independents and tagged grocery and convenience stores. The output is one clean venue list for market sizing and territory planning.
The client sells point-of-sale systems to restaurants, takeaways and small food stores. Its sales team needed to know how many such businesses exist in each UK area.
Delivery apps are a good proxy for the active hospitality market, so the client asked for UK restaurant listings data from all three. Scope was public business listing fields only, with no personal data. Chains had to be flagged so the team could focus on independents.
We built one venue universe from three public sources, not three separate scrapes.
