Unieuro Data Scraping

An Italian electronics promotion has a start date and an end date printed on it. Those two dates are data.

Unieuro data scraping covers product, price and promotion data from Italy's national electronics chain, taken private by Fnac Darty and Ruby Equity and delisted in January 2025. Unieuro, like most Italian retailers, runs promotions as dated flyers. So the stated window is recorded with every promotional price, and a price observed outside its window is labelled as such, not as a continuing promotion.

The flyer is the Italian retailer's promotion calendar, published in advance. It is the easiest calendar to get right, and the easiest to ignore.

Free pilot on your own Unieuro list, returned in 24 hours. No card, no trial clock — and you keep the sample data either way.

Platform specifics

The promotion calendar is published

These are the reasons a Unieuro dataset needs its own handling rather than a shared retail schema.

A flyer states its own window

An Italian electronics flyer names the dates it runs. Recording those dates turns a pile of prices into a calendar.

  • promotion_name and window_stated recorded with every promotional price.
  • Collection is scheduled at each flyer's start and end, not only daily.
  • A promotional price seen after its window is labelled outside_window — it may be an extension or a new price, and we do not guess which.
  • Flyer-only and online-only offers are recorded as the page states them.

The reference price

As on our MediaWorld page, the crossed-out price is the retailer's 30-day low under EU rules, recorded as displayed, with our own observed low kept separately.

Ownership, and what we do not do

Fnac Darty and Ruby

Fnac Darty and Ruby Equity reached 91.1% of Unieuro in November 2024, and it was delisted in January 2025. It remains its own retailer with its own range, and is collected as such — see our Fnac page for the group in France.

What we do not do

Assume a promotion continues past its stated end, invent a window where none is stated, or overwrite the retailer's reference price.

Scope

What we collect on Unieuro, and what we do not

The right column matters more than the left. Anyone can list fields; the limits are what tell you whether the dataset will hold up.

✅ What we collect

  • promotion_name and window_stated on every promotional price
  • Collection at each flyer's start and end
  • outside_window labelled, never assumed extended
  • Online-only and flyer-only offers as stated
  • Reference price as displayed; our observed low separate
  • Italian names kept, translation additive
  • Model numbers exactly as published
  • Store collection options as displayed
  • Daily collection between flyers

❌ What we do not, and why

  • A promotion assumed to continue past its stated end
  • A window invented where none is stated
  • The retailer's reference price overwritten
  • Italian names replaced by translations
  • Account or customer data

How we engage

Three ways to engage us

Same collection pipeline and QA underneath. The difference is who holds the schedule and how the data reaches you.

Managed service (most common)

We own the collection, the QA and the delivery. You receive clean data on a schedule and never touch a scraper.

  • Dedicated engineer assigned to your account
  • Site changes fixed by us, not reported to you
  • Scheduled delivery to your warehouse or S3
  • Named contact on Slack or email

Best fit: Teams who need the data, not the infrastructure.

API access

The same collection pipeline exposed as an authenticated REST endpoint your systems query directly.

  • On-demand and scheduled endpoints
  • Rate limits agreed to your load profile
  • Sandbox keys for integration testing
  • Versioned schema with deprecation notice

Best fit: Product and engineering teams building on live data.

One-time or project extraction

A defined pull for a specific question — market sizing, diligence, a pitch, a one-off audit.

  • Fixed scope agreed in writing upfront
  • Single delivery with full QA report
  • Methodology documented for your records
  • Converts to managed if you want continuity

Best fit: Research, strategy and diligence work with a deadline.

Pricing

Every engagement is quoted individually, because the honest answer depends on your scope: how many sources, how many records, how often, and how the data reaches you. We scope it with you, run a free pilot on your own sources, and then quote a fixed monthly figure — no per-request metering and no overage billing when volumes move. Request a quote and you will have a number after one call.

Unieuro is usually collected alongside its competitors

Almost nobody buys a single platform in isolation. Unieuro data becomes useful when it sits next to the competitor set on one schema, refreshed on one schedule, so a price index or availability comparison is genuinely like-for-like.

That is what consumer electronics data covers, and a Unieuro-only engagement can be expanded into it without rebuilding. If you already know you need several platforms, start there instead — it is the same pipeline and usually the better scoping conversation.

FAQ

Unieuro data scraping: frequently asked questions

Platform-specific questions, including what cannot be collected here.

Because it is the retailer's published promotion calendar. With it, a price becomes part of a dated event.

We label it outside_window. It could be an extension or a new price, and we do not guess which.

Fnac Darty and Ruby Equity took it private; it was delisted from Milan in January 2025.

It is the retailer's stated 30-day low. We record it as displayed and keep our own observed low separately.

Yes, on one schedule. That is the usual Italian scope.

It depends on categories and how many flyer cycles. A category pilot is the usual start.
