Germany's fuel price transparency unit sits at the federal competition authority, in regular operation since 1 December 2013. Station operators must transmit every price change in real time, within five minutes, and the duty covers E5, E10 and diesel only — not LPG, CNG or AdBlue. The mechanic that matters is redistribution: there is no direct public API from the authority, and data is released to approved consumer information services which pass it on under their own terms. Records sit at site level with brand and operator as separate keys and an observed_at stamp on every row, nothing behind a login or an exchange licence is collected, and a site that disappears is confirmed across runs before it is called a closure.

Present third-party mirrors as an official government API, exceed a redistributor's terms, assume unreported grades are absent from the market, or collect anything behind a login.
