Traveloka Data Scraping Services

Where the payment method a traveller can use matters as much as the rate they are shown.

Traveloka data scraping is the automated collection of publicly visible Traveloka data across Southeast Asian markets — hotel rate plans with terms, market and currency on every record, and local payment method availability captured as a conversion field, including instalment and pay-later options where displayed.

Our Booking.com page establishes that the rate plan is the record. In Southeast Asia there is a second field that matters nearly as much: whether the traveller can actually pay by a method they hold.

Free pilot on your own Traveloka list, returned in 24 hours. No card, no trial clock — and you keep the sample data either way.

Platform specifics

What makes Southeast Asian travel booking data different

These are the reasons a Traveloka dataset needs its own handling rather than a shared retail schema.

Payment method availability is a conversion field

Card penetration across Southeast Asia is lower than in Western markets, and travel bookings frequently use bank transfer, virtual account, convenience store payment, instalment plans or pay-later credit.

Why it belongs in the dataset

  • A cheaper rate a traveller cannot pay for does not convert, regardless of price.
  • Instalment and pay-later availability shifts what a traveller will book, especially on higher-value stays.
  • Method availability differs by property and by market, so it is a merchandising variable rather than a constant.
  • Changes in it are competitive activity that rate monitoring alone cannot see.

We capture payment_methods_available as a structured list, with instalment_available, instalment_count_max and pay_later_available as separate flags where displayed.

We do not compute an adjusted price from instalment availability, for the same reason as on Mercado Libre and Otto: whether terms matter depends on the traveller, and that judgement is yours.

Rate plans and stay context, as on any hotel data

The structural discipline here is the same as our Booking.com service, and we apply it identically rather than pretending it is different.

  • The rate plan is the record, since cancellation terms, meal inclusion and prepayment create several prices for one room.
  • Stay date, nights and lead time belong on every observation, or comparisons are meaningless.
  • Plan signatures allow equivalent terms to be matched across properties and channels.
  • Tax display treatment varies by market and settings, so it is recorded per record.

Where clients collect both platforms, records join on property identity, stay date and plan signature. That is the comparison most Southeast Asian hospitality clients actually want: the same room and terms across two channels, in one market, on one date.

Multi-market, with currency and non-hotel inventory separated

Traveloka spans several Southeast Asian markets with different currencies and price levels, and it carries inventory types beyond hotels.

  • Currency and price level differ substantially, so local currency is authoritative and conversion stays derived.
  • Competitive sets differ by market, so a regional average is rarely actionable.
  • Non-hotel inventory behaves differently and is collected separately where required, not merged into hotel records.

Every record carries market and currency. Where non-hotel inventory is in scope we collect it with its own schema, because merging it into hotel records leaves rate-plan and occupancy fields null on a large share of rows — the same reason we separate verticals on every multi-vertical platform.

We do not collect flight pricing. Airfare shopping sits in licensed distribution territory and we would rather say so than deliver a partial dataset described as complete.

Scope

What we collect on Traveloka, and what we do not

The right column matters more than the left. Anyone can list fields; the limits are what tell you whether the dataset will hold up.

✅ What we collect

  • Rate plan as the record, with cancellation, meal and prepayment terms
  • Plan signature so equivalent terms match across properties and channels
  • Payment methods available as a structured list per property
  • Instalment availability and maximum count, plus pay-later availability, where displayed
  • Market and currency on every record, with conversion derived not baked in
  • Check-in, nights, observation time and derived lead days
  • Whether displayed price includes taxes and fees, per record
  • Non-hotel inventory collected with its own schema where in scope
  • Guest review score and count without reviewer profiles

❌ What we do not, and why

  • Flight pricing, which sits in licensed distribution territory
  • An adjusted price computed from instalment availability
  • Occupancy or revenue estimates, which are not published
  • Member or logged-in rates, recorded null with a reason
  • Reviewer names, profiles or review histories

Core Traveloka fields

The full dictionary is agreed during scoping. These are the fields specific to this platform.

Field What it is on this platform
property_id / market / currency Property, market and currency, all mandatory
room_type / rate_plan_id / plan_signature Room, plan and derived signature for matching
cancellation_type / meal_plan / prepayment_required Rate plan terms
price / price_includes_taxes Price and tax display treatment
payment_methods_available Structured list of accepted methods
instalment_available / instalment_count_max Instalment availability and maximum count
pay_later_available Whether pay-later credit is offered
check_in / nights Stay dates the rate applies to
observed_at / lead_days Observation time and how far ahead
inventory_type hotel or other, kept separate
review_score / review_count Guest review metrics without reviewer identity
Use cases

What teams do with Traveloka data

Payment-aware rate competitiveness

Payment method availability alongside rates shows where a competitor accepts methods you do not, which affects conversion independently of price.

Cross-channel rate parity in Southeast Asia

Plan signatures let the same room and terms be compared against another channel in the same market on the same date.

Per-market rate benchmarking

Market and currency on every record with derived conversion keep comparison valid across markets with very different price levels.

Booking curve analysis

Stay date by observation date grids with lead days show how rates move as a date approaches.

How we engage

Three ways to engage us

Same collection pipeline and QA underneath. The difference is who holds the schedule and how the data reaches you.

Managed service (most common)

We own the collection, the QA and the delivery. You receive clean data on a schedule and never touch a scraper.

  • Dedicated engineer assigned to your account
  • Site changes fixed by us, not reported to you
  • Scheduled delivery to your warehouse or S3
  • Named contact on Slack or email

Best fit: Teams who need the data, not the infrastructure.

API access

The same collection pipeline exposed as an authenticated REST endpoint your systems query directly.

  • On-demand and scheduled endpoints
  • Rate limits agreed to your load profile
  • Sandbox keys for integration testing
  • Versioned schema with deprecation notice

Best fit: Product and engineering teams building on live data.

One-time or project extraction

A defined pull for a specific question — market sizing, diligence, a pitch, a one-off audit.

  • Fixed scope agreed in writing upfront
  • Single delivery with full QA report
  • Methodology documented for your records
  • Converts to managed if you want continuity

Best fit: Research, strategy and diligence work with a deadline.

Pricing

Every engagement is quoted individually, because the honest answer depends on your scope: how many sources, how many records, how often, and how the data reaches you. We scope it with you, run a free pilot on your own sources, and then quote a fixed monthly figure — no per-request metering and no overage billing when volumes move. Request a quote and you will have a number after one call.

Traveloka is usually collected alongside its competitors

Almost nobody buys a single platform in isolation. Traveloka data becomes useful when it sits next to the competitor set on one schema, refreshed on one schedule, so a price index or availability comparison is genuinely like-for-like.

That is what travel & hospitality data covers, and a Traveloka-only engagement can be expanded into it without rebuilding. If you already know you need several platforms, start there instead — it is the same pipeline and usually the better scoping conversation.

FAQ

Traveloka data scraping: frequently asked questions

Platform-specific questions, including what cannot be collected here.

Because card penetration across Southeast Asia is lower than in Western markets, and bookings frequently use bank transfer, virtual account, convenience store payment, instalments or pay-later credit.

A cheaper rate a traveller cannot pay for does not convert. Method availability also differs by property and market, making it a merchandising variable rather than a constant.

The rate-plan discipline is identical and we apply it the same way rather than pretending otherwise. What is different is payment method availability as a field, multi-market currency handling, and non-hotel inventory separation.

Where clients take both, records join on property identity, stay date and plan signature — which is the comparison most Southeast Asian hospitality clients actually want.

No. Airfare shopping sits in licensed distribution territory, and we would rather state that than deliver a partial dataset described as complete.

Hotel and accommodation rates are publicly available and that is what we collect. If flights are essential to your analysis, a licensed distribution feed is the correct route.

Because a hotel price is a function of stay date, length of stay and how far ahead you look. The same room on the same date prices differently observed 90 days out and 3 days out.

An observation without its lead time cannot be compared to another. A rate series is a grid of stay date by observation date, and we scope which cells you need.

No. Whether instalment availability matters depends on the traveller, and that judgement is yours rather than ours — the same position as on Mercado Libre and Otto.

We deliver availability and maximum count as separate fields so you can model it however your analysis needs.

We quote individually, and the driver is the same grid as any hotel data: properties times stay dates times observation dates times rate plans, plus market count.

One scoping call, a free pilot within 24 hours, then a fixed monthly quote. Request a quote.
