Nutrition/Supplement/Drug-Fact panels digitized
browsable catalog from a bare product list
Client: Regional US drugstore chain (name withheld)
Industry: Retail / Pharmacy
Use Case: E-commerce catalog build via product enrichment
Categories: Health & wellness, personal care, beauty, food, beverage, general merchandise
Delivery: Enriched product feed (structured + images) to the client's e-commerce platform
Our client is a small regional US drugstore chain moving into e-commerce for the first time. Its goal: a browsable online product catalog customers could actually shop. The majority of its assortment spans health and wellness, personal care, beauty, food, beverage and general merchandise — categories where a bare SKU list is useless to a shopper. What sells online is content: an image, a clear description, ingredients, the fact panel, and attributes like "vegan" or "gluten-free".
Starting from the client's SKU and barcode list, we matched each product to authoritative public sources and assembled a complete content record — the enrichment layer that turns an inventory list into a catalog.
For each product: standardized images, consumer-facing descriptions, and category-appropriate detail — assembled into a consistent structure ready to load into the client's e-commerce platform.
Nutrition Facts, Supplement Facts and Drug Facts panels — plus ingredient lists — were digitized into structured fields, so health-and-wellness shoppers get the information they expect and the site meets category norms.
Products were tagged with dietary and lifestyle attributes (vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, cruelty-free and more) parsed from ingredients and packaging content, enabling filtered browsing and better on-site search from day one.
The client flagged competitor pricing as "nice to have". We offered it as an optional overlay — matched competitor prices per SKU — so pricing decisions could be data-informed without holding up the catalog launch.
| Field Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Identity | SKU, barcode/UPC, brand, product name |
| Content | Consumer description, category tree, images |
| Regulated Panels | Nutrition / Supplement / Drug Facts, ingredient list |

| Optional | Matched competitor price per SKU |
"We had barcodes and a dream. Actowiz gave us the actual catalog — pictures, descriptions, the fact panels, the vegan and gluten-free tags. That's the difference between a spreadsheet and a store."
