Black Friday price tracker 2026 title card with US and EU marketplace icons

Introduction

This Black Friday price tracker shows what we will measure on ten US and EU marketplaces from 27 November to 2 December 2026, and what to expect before the data arrives. Published studies point to US peak discounts of roughly 18–31% off list and EU averages near 3–16% (Estimate / forecast based on Adobe, DataWeave and idealo).

Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday on 30 November 2026. Until then, this Black Friday price tracker page works as a pre-sale briefing: which marketplaces we will watch, which price signals matter, and the discount ranges published studies suggest. From Black Friday onward, we will refresh the live table with daily tracked data.

It is built for retail media teams, brands and journalists who need one consistent view across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Zalando, Otto, bol.com and MediaMarkt. For category-level forecasts in depth, see our companion Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2026 discount preview report. Related: Holiday 2026 US Retail Price War Report and Amazon.de & Otto marketplace intelligence.

Who is this Black Friday price tracker for?

Black Friday price tracker 2026 title card with US and EU marketplace icons

Most tools that rank for 'Black Friday price tracker' are built for shoppers watching a single product. This page answers a different question: how deep are discounts across a whole marketplace and category, day by day? That is the view buyers of media, pricing and news need.

  • Retail media teams. See which marketplace and category discount most on each day, so bids can follow the deepest deals.
  • Brands. Check whether resellers undercut your price floor, and how your discount depth compares with the category median.
  • Journalists and analysts. Test retailer claims of 'record discounts' against a consistent baseline and the EU 30-day lowest price.
  • Category and e-commerce managers. Compare the share of SKUs on promotion with competitors, not just a few hero deals.

Shopper doubt makes this matter. Which? found 83% of 175 UK products tracked over a year were the same price or cheaper at least once outside the Black Friday sales window. Euroconsumers reported that only 30% of 40,000 electronics deals tracked in Belgium were genuine bargains.

Which marketplaces will the Black Friday price tracker cover?

We picked marketplaces that set the tone for discounting in each region. Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days on 6–7 October 2026 ran in 22 countries, including the US, UK, Germany and the Netherlands, so October prices give us a clean pre-season benchmark for Amazon listings.

Marketplace Country Categories in scope Signals of special interest
Amazon.com US Electronics, toys, home, beauty, apparel Limited-time / Lightning deal badges, Buy Box seller
Walmart US Electronics, toys, home Rollback / clearance flags, marketplace sellers
Target US Toys, home, apparel Deal labels, out-of-stock status
Best Buy US Electronics, computers, TVs Doorbuster-style deals, stock status
Amazon.co.uk UK Electronics, beauty, home Deal badges, Buy Box seller, was-price
Amazon.de Germany Electronics, home, beauty Displayed prior price vs our 30-day low
Otto Germany Electronics, home, furniture Displayed prior price, marketplace partners
MediaMarkt Germany / Netherlands Electronics, computers, TVs Prior price display, stock status
Zalando Germany (EU-wide) Apparel, footwear, beauty Sitewide codes vs item markdowns
bol.com Netherlands / Belgium Electronics, toys, home Prior price display, seller offers

Coverage plan for the 2026 tracker; scope may be adjusted before 27 November. Public product pages only.

What signals will the Black Friday price tracker record?

A single 'discount %' hides a lot. Each SKU snapshot in the Black Friday price tracker stores several signals, so readers can see how the number was built.

  • List price vs sale price. The headline discount most retailers display, measured against the list price, RRP or 'was' price shown on the page.
  • Prior price and 30-day lowest price (EU). Under Article 6a of the EU Price Indication Directive, added by the Omnibus Directive, a trader announcing a reduction must show the lowest price of at least the prior 30 days. The Court of Justice confirmed in 2024 that the advertised percentage must be calculated from that price. We record the displayed prior price and compare it with our own scraped 30-day low.
  • Pre-season baseline. The SKU's median price in a pre-season window (late October to 26 November), which strips out short pre-sale price rises.
  • Share of SKUs discounted. The percentage of tracked SKUs in a category priced below baseline on a given day – the best test of whether an event is broad or built on a few hero deals.
  • Stock-outs. Out-of-stock or unavailable flags on promoted SKUs, logged at each snapshot.
  • Lightning and limited-time deals. Deal badges and visible countdowns on Amazon and similar flags on other marketplaces, with start and end times where shown. See our Amazon sales trend and Lightning Deals monitoring.
  • Buy Box / featured offer. Which seller holds the featured offer and at what price, so brands can see reseller undercutting.

What discount ranges should you expect before the data arrives?

Until the Black Friday price tracker shows live data, use these ranges as a benchmark. They come from published 2024–2026 studies, not Actowiz tracking, and the measurement basis differs: US figures are peak discounts off list price, while UK and EU figures are averages across tracked SKUs.

Marketplace group Category Expected discount range Label
US (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy) Electronics / computers 22–31% peak off list Estimate / forecast based on Adobe 2025 recap and 2026 forecast
US (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy) Toys 27–29% peak off list Estimate / forecast based on Adobe
US (Amazon, Target, Walmart) Apparel 23–37% Estimate / forecast based on Adobe 2026 forecast; Salesforce 2025 prediction
Amazon UK Electronics 10–17% average Estimate / forecast based on Adobe UK 2024; DataWeave UK 2025
Amazon DE, Otto, MediaMarkt Electronics 9–16% average Estimate / forecast based on DataWeave Germany 2025; idealo 2024 study
Zalando (DE / EU) Apparel 5–6% average; sales start earlier Estimate / forecast based on DataWeave Germany 2025; Lectra Retviews 2025
bol.com (NL / BE) All categories No published figure found [Insert Actowiz dataset value]

All ranges are estimates / forecasts from the cited sources – not Actowiz data.

For the share of SKUs discounted, the best public benchmark is idealo's German study, which found 66% of 9,733 products cheaper on Black Friday 2024 than in October, but 56% cheaper still on another November day. Expect the Black Friday price tracker to show broad but shallow discounting in the EU (Estimate / forecast based on idealo).

How will we collect, clean and match Black Friday price tracker data?

  • Define the SKU panel. Pick bestselling and category-representative SKUs per marketplace before the sale, so the panel does not change mid-event.
  • Capture a baseline. Collect daily public prices from late October to 26 November to build the pre-season median and the 30-day low.
  • Snapshot daily during the event. From 27 November to 2 December, capture price, prior price, deal badge, stock status and featured seller at fixed times each day.
  • Match products across marketplaces. Use GTIN/EAN, ASIN, model numbers and title-plus-attribute matching, with manual review for low-confidence matches.
  • Clean and normalise. Remove bundles and variant mismatches, convert to local-currency prices including VAT where shown, and drop SKUs with missing snapshots.
  • Publish medians, not means. Report the median discount and the share of SKUs discounted per marketplace, category and day, so a few extreme deals do not skew results.

What are the legal and compliance basics?

  • Public data only. The Black Friday price tracker uses publicly visible product pages – no logins, no checkout data and no personal data.
  • Respect site terms and load. Collection runs at modest frequency, with rate limits and polite crawling.
  • EU price rules shape the numbers. EU discounts are tied to the 30-day lowest price, so EU and US percentages should not be compared without adjustment.
  • No verdicts on individual retailers. We publish aggregate medians and shares by marketplace and category, not accusations about specific listings.

How can you use Black Friday price tracker data after the sale?

  • Plan 2027 media budgets. Use day-by-day medians to see which days delivered the deepest discounts per marketplace.
  • Benchmark your own promotion. Compare your discount depth and share of SKUs discounted with the category median.
  • Check reference prices. Find SKUs whose advertised saving shrinks against the 30-day low.
  • Build vs buy. A one-off scraper can capture a few SKUs, but daily snapshots across ten marketplaces, product matching and baselines usually justify a managed feed. See our price monitoring services and real-time price monitoring for Amazon, Walmart & Target.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Black Friday price tracker?

A Black Friday price tracker records prices for the same products every day before and during the sale, so you can see real discount depth rather than advertised savings. This one tracks medians across marketplaces and categories.

When will the live tracker be updated?

Daily from 27 November to 2 December 2026, covering Black Friday, the weekend, Cyber Monday (30 November) and two days after.

Why do EU discounts look smaller than US discounts?

EU traders must calculate announced reductions from the lowest price of the previous 30 days, while US discounts are usually shown against list price. We show both where possible.

Are the expected discount ranges Actowiz data?

No. They are estimates based on published studies from Adobe, Salesforce, DataWeave, idealo and others. We will update this report with live tracked data after the sale.

Can I get the tracker data for my own SKUs?

Yes. We can add your SKUs, competitors and marketplaces to the panel and deliver the data as CSV, JSON, API or a dashboard.
