Rappi Turbo Data Scraping

Rappi's own dark-store layer, across markets where a daily FX rate is not good enough to compare two prices.

Rappi Turbo data scraping collects the dark-store catalogue, zone-level pricing, fees and availability from Rappi's quick-commerce service across Latin American markets. Two things shape the work: Turbo is a separate surface from the Rappi marketplace, and currency volatility means FX is stamped per observation rather than applied at a daily close.

A single Rappi app covers markets with very different currencies, inflation and assortments. A regional feed that averages them describes none of them.

Platform specifics

What is specific to Rappi Turbo and to LatAm

These are the reasons a Rappi Turbo dataset needs its own handling rather than a shared retail schema.

FX per observation, because a daily rate hides real movement

Most cross-market datasets apply a daily closing FX rate. Across Latin American currencies that is frequently not good enough, and in the more volatile markets it is actively misleading.

  • Intraday movement can exceed the price change you are trying to measure.
  • A price that looks like it moved may only reflect the rate you applied.
  • Comparing two markets on different days compounds the error in an unpredictable direction.

We stamp fx_rate and fx_observed_at on every record at the observation moment, alongside the local price. Any conversion you do downstream is then reproducible, and a movement in the converted series can be attributed to the price or to the rate rather than to neither.

Local currency is always the primary field. Converted values are derived and labelled as derived.

Turbo and the Rappi marketplace are different products

Rappi runs a marketplace covering restaurants, supermarkets and retail partners, and Turbo from its own dark stores. They share an app and a brand.

  • Turbo holds its own inventory; marketplace listings come from partner retailers.
  • Turbo pricing is Rappi's; partner supermarket pricing is the partner's, and the two move independently.
  • Turbo assortment is a curated convenience range, far narrower than a partner supermarket catalogue.
  • Availability is dark-store level, so it is a zone question.

Every record carries surface. If you also take Rappi marketplace or partner-supermarket data, the records arrive separately against the same product key rather than blended into an average no shopper sees.

Country as a dimension, and inflation as a series problem

Rappi operates across markets with materially different assortments, pricing conventions and inflation environments. country is on every record and cross-country comparison is a deliberate join.

The inflation point

In high-inflation markets, a price series that is not read against local inflation will show constant upward movement that says nothing about competitiveness. That is a real analytical trap and it is not our job to correct for it — but it is our job to make it correctable.

  • Local currency price is primary, always.
  • Observation timestamp is precise, so a series can be aligned to any index you choose.
  • We do not apply an inflation adjustment, because the index choice is an analytical decision that belongs with you rather than embedded silently in a feed.
Scope

What we collect on Rappi Turbo, and what we do not

The right column matters more than the left. Anyone can list fields; the limits are what tell you whether the dataset will hold up.

✅ What we collect

  • Zone-level price in local currency, with country on every record
  • FX rate and FX timestamp stamped at the observation moment
  • surface flag distinguishing Turbo from the Rappi marketplace
  • Serviceability as a distinct state from out of stock
  • Delivery, service and small-order fees as separate fields
  • Pack size and unit parsed, with unit price on a stated basis
  • Spanish and Portuguese product names retained as published
  • Promotional mechanics as displayed, separate from base price
  • Precise observation timestamps, so any index alignment is possible

❌ What we do not, and why

  • A blended price across Turbo and the Rappi marketplace
  • A converted price presented as the primary value
  • An inflation adjustment applied silently inside the feed
  • Sales, order volumes or store throughput
  • Customer, rider or order data

Core Rappi Turbo fields

The full dictionary is agreed during scoping. These are the fields specific to this platform.

Field What it is on this platform
sku / product_key Your identifier and our matched identity
surface turbo or marketplace. Never blended
country / city / zone Country is a dimension, not a currency field
price_local / currency Primary value, always
fx_rate / fx_observed_at Stamped at the observation moment
price_converted / conversion_basis Derived and labelled as derived
serviceable / in_stock Two distinct states
delivery_fee / service_fee / small_order_fee Each separately
pack_size / pack_unit / price_per_unit Parsed pack and unit price
promo_mechanic / promo_text Mechanics as displayed
observed_at Precise, so any index alignment is possible
Use cases

What teams do with Rappi Turbo data

LatAm multi-market price monitoring

Local currency primary with FX stamped per observation, so a movement in a converted series can be attributed to the price or to the rate rather than to neither.

Turbo versus partner supermarket positioning

The same products on both surfaces delivered as separate records, showing where the quick-commerce premium sits and where partner pricing undercuts it.

Zone-level assortment across LatAm cities

Dark-store range by catchment, with serviceability separated from stock so coverage gaps are not read as sell-outs.

Inflation-aware price analysis

Precise timestamps and unadjusted local prices, so your team can align the series to whichever index is appropriate rather than inheriting an adjustment we chose.

How we engage

Three ways to engage us

Same collection pipeline and QA underneath. The difference is who holds the schedule and how the data reaches you.

Managed service (most common)

We own the collection, the QA and the delivery. You receive clean data on a schedule and never touch a scraper.

  • Dedicated engineer assigned to your account
  • Site changes fixed by us, not reported to you
  • Scheduled delivery to your warehouse or S3
  • Named contact on Slack or email

Best fit: Teams who need the data, not the infrastructure.

API access

The same collection pipeline exposed as an authenticated REST endpoint your systems query directly.

  • On-demand and scheduled endpoints
  • Rate limits agreed to your load profile
  • Sandbox keys for integration testing
  • Versioned schema with deprecation notice

Best fit: Product and engineering teams building on live data.

One-time or project extraction

A defined pull for a specific question — market sizing, diligence, a pitch, a one-off audit.

  • Fixed scope agreed in writing upfront
  • Single delivery with full QA report
  • Methodology documented for your records
  • Converts to managed if you want continuity

Best fit: Research, strategy and diligence work with a deadline.

Pricing

Every engagement is quoted individually, because the honest answer depends on your scope: how many sources, how many records, how often, and how the data reaches you. We scope it with you, run a free pilot on your own sources, and then quote a fixed monthly figure — no per-request metering and no overage billing when volumes move. Request a quote and you will have a number after one call.

Rappi Turbo is usually collected alongside its competitors

Almost nobody buys a single platform in isolation. Rappi Turbo data becomes useful when it sits next to the competitor set on one schema, refreshed on one schedule, so a price index or availability comparison is genuinely like-for-like.

That is what quick commerce data covers, and a Rappi Turbo-only engagement can be expanded into it without rebuilding. If you already know you need several platforms, start there instead — it is the same pipeline and usually the better scoping conversation.

FAQ

Rappi Turbo data scraping: frequently asked questions

Platform-specific questions, including what cannot be collected here.

Because across several Latin American currencies intraday movement can exceed the price change you are trying to measure. A price that appears to have moved may only reflect the rate you applied.

With the rate and its timestamp on the record, any conversion is reproducible and a movement can be attributed correctly.

No. Turbo runs from Rappi's own dark stores with its own inventory and pricing. The marketplace covers restaurants, supermarkets and retail partners whose prices are their own.

Records carry a surface flag and arrive separately, because a blended average across the two is an offer no shopper sees.

No, deliberately. In high-inflation markets an unadjusted series shows constant upward movement that says little about competitiveness — but the choice of index is an analytical decision that belongs with you.

We deliver unadjusted local prices with precise timestamps so you can align to whichever index is appropriate, rather than embedding our choice silently.

Yes, with country as a dimension on every record rather than a currency field. Assortment, pricing conventions and inflation environments differ enough that a regional average describes none of the markets.

Cross-country comparison is then a deliberate join carrying the FX timestamp.

Not into the name field. A translated name becomes indistinguishable from an original within weeks and product matching starts failing silently.

Translation is available as a separate field with the engine and date recorded.

We quote individually. Drivers are country count, zone count, SKU breadth and refresh frequency — refresh matters more in the volatile markets where a daily observation is genuinely insufficient.

One scoping call, a free pilot within 24 hours, then a fixed monthly quote. Request a quote.
